What's the difference between 'Toast Bread' and 'Sandwich Bread'?
(to clarify, I am referring to the types of bread, as sold by the manufacturer, not what happens when you put the bread in the toaster)
I believe they are the same, except for the size they cut them. Please, tell me what you know
You are correct in your belief. It is only the thickness of the slices. They believe the thicker slices are nicer toasted and don't tend to go as dry once toasted.
Toaster Prints Text, Photos From the Internet onto Your Bread
Many things have appeared on toast: Marmite, Vegemite, jam and even Cylons. Now a designer's invented a toaster that can burn pretty much anything onto your morning slice, including the Techarena news.
If you are the kind of person who rushes around in the morning, but always makes the time for toast, you will love the Scan Toaster printer concept by designer Sung Bae Chang. Details are scarce, but we do know that it connects to the internet via USB and is capable of printing images or text on bread using some sort of flexible "module" unit heated by a wire.
Inside the toaster is a network of toasting "modules", each heated by a hot wire. Each module can move by 30° and, once the userselects what they want on their toast - excluding a topping, of course - the modules align themselves and burn the appropriate content onto the bread.
The appliance is a finalist in design competition run bymanufacturer Electrolux and designer Sung Bae Chang said he got the idea whilst - you guessed it - making some toast.
No plans to manufacture the toaster on a mass scale have poppedup yet
