Can you use cookie cutters on chocolate chip cookies?

i'd like to sell christmas cookies and trying to figure out how to make the chocolate chip cookies more festive. so i thought about using christmas cookie cutters but the dough is not the same as sugar cookies.

It'll still work, you just have to press a little more firm. I love to bake with chocolate chips, you shouldn't have any problems
